Lights, Camera, MUSIC!

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory is looking forward to honoring two very special people in the music education world.  Toni-Marie Montgomery will be presented with the Golden Award, and Patrick Pearson, the Take Note Award.

Toni-Marie Montgomery has led the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University since 2003. Under her leadership, a beautiful new school with a state-of-the art recital hall (pictured below) was completed this year.  76 MYA Alums have attended Northwestern as undergrads, and 11 more have earned advanced degrees from this outstanding institution.

Patrick Pearson (Mr. P) is completing his 20th year as conductor of orchestras at MYA Conservatory this year. He started out with Reading and Philharmonia Orchestra and then added Cadet and Concertino to his Saturdays.  During this same time period, he was the Orchestra Director at Lake Forest High School and now at Oak Park River Forest High School.
We hope you can join us!  Make a reservation today!

Why People Love Bass

One of our Advisory Board Members shared a link to this very interesting video on why people love bass.  You'll have to scroll down the page to find the video and listen to a Campbell's soup commercial, but it's worth it.
