New this year, I’Solisti will consist of two separate designations of Concert Orchestra members and Symphony Orchestra members. The two groups embark on a tour of area schools this month.

Saturday Nov. 3 Concert I'Solisti will give a free public performance at our MYAC Center in Highwood at 7 p.m.

I’Solisti Symphony will perform a free public concert Sunday Nov. 18. at 3 p.m. at the Northbrook Public Library 1201 Cedar Ln. in Northbrook, IL.

Directed by Charles Pikler, former principal violist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, I’Solisti (Italian for ‘the soloist’) consists of a small, select ensemble of soloists who perform in public schools and special venues each season.

Participating students receive a scholarship and each student performs a movement from a Baroque or Classical era concerto.
